What Kirkland Signature® minoxidil actually is
Kirkland Signature® is Costco®’s own label, and its Extra Strength Minoxidil Topical Solution 5% is one of the most searched hair loss products in Europe. The box holds six 60 ml bottles of a clear liquid in which 5% minoxidil is dissolved in an alcohol and propylene glycol base — the same active ingredient, at the same strength, as the branded treatments that cost several times more.
Minoxidil is not a cosmetic. It is an approved active ingredient that widens the small blood vessels in the scalp and pushes resting follicles back into the growth phase, which is why thinning hair can start to thicken again — usually finer, shorter hairs first.
